At the heart of Gem Homes are two passionate and dedicated individuals: Paul and Kristina Musielak, the co-owners who’ve turned their love for home building into a thriving business right here in Indianapolis. Their combined expertise and drive have shaped Gem Homes into what it is today — a company that takes pride in building beautiful, functional spaces that people love to call home.

Paul – Co-Owner, General Contractor

Paul’s journey into the building industry began in disaster restoration, and with over 10 years of experience in home building, he’s become a seasoned professional in the field. A framing carpenter by trade, Paul still enjoys getting his hands dirty and helping his crews on the job whenever he can. He’s worked on countless projects in Indianapolis and surrounding areas, building homes that are not only structurally sound but also thoughtfully designed.

Kristina – Co-Owner, Real Estate Expert

Kristina brings a unique perspective to Gem Homes, with a background in education from Purdue University and a successful career as a real estate agent. Her passion for helping others shines through in her work, particularly when assisting clients with the design and selection process. Kristina has completed over $65 million in real estate transactions, which gives her a deep understanding of what makes a home truly exceptional. She knows that a well-built home is more than just a place to live — it’s a place where memories are made, and a reflection of the people who call it home.

Paul and Kristina’s Journey Beyond the Job

Outside of work, Paul and Kristina enjoy life on the near east side of Indianapolis with their daughter and playful boxer dog. They love exploring the city’s diverse restaurants, parks, and local attractions together. Their shared dedication to family, career, and community is what drives the success of Gem Homes.

Why We Started Gem Homes: A Personal Journey of Passion and Dedication

Our story began with a simple idea: create homes where people can truly thrive. As we worked on various projects, we realized how much joy we found in putting our personal touches on each home — making them more functional, appealing, and suited to the needs of the people who would live in them. It was more than just about construction; it was about making a lasting impact on the lives of those who experienced the spaces we created.

At first, Gem Homes started as a side hustle. We had a mountain of student debt to tackle, so we took a leap of faith. It didn’t take long for our passion to turn into something more, and soon enough, our side project became our full-time focus. With over 100 completed projects in Marion County and nearby areas, we’ve built homes that we’re proud of, and we’re excited for what’s to come.

We love what we do because it allows us to give back to the community that’s supported us. Every home we build reflects our commitment to quality, our attention to detail, and our desire to create spaces that people can truly call their own.
